The toy conspiracy
Someone is out to get me.
I stifled a groan on Christmas morning, as my four year old son screeched with glee after opening another of the roughly seventy gifts that had his name on it. A six hundred-piece Lego set. We had repeatedly asked, and in some cases begged our extended family not to send us any more toys. I tried to look at the wrapping to see whom to blame, but the perpetrator conveniently forgot to claim this one. I suddenly realized that this must be a conspiracy. My children were in cahoots with my parents, with help from Mattel and the Teletubbies, to drive me insane, and/or kill me.
