For two weeks in March we’ll be traveling around and checking out the biblical sites in Jordan, which some are calling “The other holy-land”.

Jordan is rich with history, and contains such treasures as Petra, pictured here, and the Dead Sea, along with Medaba, Mount Nebo, Lot’s cave, Wadi Rum and much more. Check out our blog to see daily updates of our travels, complete with pictures of Dean in a Burqua!

This year’s first eXtreme Weekend will be FOR ADULTS ONLY. The plan is to take men who would like to learn how to run similar trips for their own church youth groups.

The dates are May 14-16 (Friday – Sunday) and ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. (But not likely).

We’ll be participating on an actual trip, with some classes thrown in on how to run similar trips, focusing on Logistics, Safety and Legal issues.

The Cost is $175 per person, which includes meals during the trip. (with the exception of stops for fast food going and coming).

The trip will take place in the mountains of West Virginia, near Spruce Knob Lake, the state’s highest point.

Mel Gibson said in his interview with Diane Sawyer – “I wanted [the movie] to be shocking.” In this, he did not disappoint. The Passion of the Christ is intense and painful even to watch.

What this movie proves, however, is just how far one must go to be considered “shocking” in today’s world.
