Let’s Go to Jordan!

Many of you may remember earlier this year when Dean and I left for a couple of weeks on a trip to “the other Holy land,” the country of Jordan.

We blogged about it, “from the trail,” on BlogJordan.com

Well, it was such an awesome trip, that I decided to go back and this time take my wife along. So we’re putting together a trip for anyone who is interested.

I can tell you that, as the so-called “Switzerland of the Middle East,” Jordan is safe, and a very quiet house in that noisy neighborhood.

The trip is scheduled from March 6 – 15, 2005. We will be visiting some Biblical Archaeological sites, such as Gedara, Mount Nebo, Petra and the Dead Sea. We’ll also see some Roman ruins (Jerash), some crusader castles, and have a chance to follow in the footsteps on Lawrence of Arabia in the deserts of Wadi Rum.

For those of you who would like to experience some of the best scuba diving in the world, we’ll be spending two days in Aqaba on the Red sea, and two days at an ultra-posh resort on the shores of the Dead sea, within sight of the outskirts of Jerusalem.

We’ll be getting up close and personal with the Bedhouin, who pretty much still subsist as their ancestors did in Biblical times, farming and raising animals in goat hair tents, moving from one place to another throughout the desert.

I can assure you that the hospitality of these people is legendary, and you will be absolutely amazed at how friendly and welcoming they are. And their food ROCKS!

The trip is all-inclusive, including airfare, for about $2,100 pp double occupancy.

That might seem like a lot, but in reality that means saving about $200 a month between now and then, for the experience of a lifetime.

So think about it! If you are interested, Contact Chuck for more details!

Latest article in Breakaway

Check out Chuck’s latest article – the cover story in Breakaway magazine for July. It’s a very high-action story about Commander Ted LeFeuvre, a Captain in the U.S. Coast Guard who flew an amazing mission into the teeth of one of the worst storms on record in Sitka, Alaska.
